GE Merlin Booster Pump

This genuine GE Merlin high-quality pump was manufactured by Aquatec, the world leader in pressure boosting pumps. This pump is 110 volts, 65 PSI Variable Speed with 1/2" Special Tube Fittings.

Rated for Intermittent Residential Duty only.  This means it is NOT designed to be run 18-24 hours a day.  If you need the Merlin to produce RO water continuously for 24 hours a day, make sure your water pressure is at least 50 PSI and don't use the Intermittent Duty Booster Pump.

This pump was created specifically for the GE Merlin System. Do not try to use other pumps with the GE Merlin System.

Mechanical Float Valve - for Atmospheric Storage Tanks

• If you wish to fill an open Atmospheric Storage Tank with RO water, you will need a Float Valve to turn off the water flow when the tank gets full. 
• This works well without the Merlin Booster Pump installed.

• The GE MERLIN comes supplied with 3/8" O.D. blue plastic tubing for the Permeate (purified water) (you only get 4 feet) that you need to connect to a float valve on the Atmospheric Tank.

• The float valve is designed to accept only 3/8" tubing.   Order extra Tubing HERE.
• The Mechanical Float Valve is completely mechanical and requires no electricity or wiring.
• Mechanical linkage of the float and the valve assures positive on-off action similar to the inside of a toilet tank.
• When the water level drops the valve opens and allows the Merlin to fill the tank.  When the water level rises the valve turns off the water flow.
• Estimated Maximum Flowrate is 1.5 GPM @ 40 PSI, and is tested to 100 PSI.

• According to GE, the Merlin should not be connected to a Pressure Tank. 

• This valve works for most other suitable RO systems as well, when applied properly, not just the GE Merlin.  

• NOTICE: RO systems with electronic booster pumps will need some type of High Pressure Shutoff switch /solenoid to sense that the water flow is closed off and then turn off the pump.   Use and apply at your own risk.  Consult with your professional installer.
