This RO Water System is recommended for:
- kitchens with limited space.

Technical Details and Specifications of the GE Merlin Tankless RO System:
- This is a fresh GE Merlin - Revision D model.
- Rejection of Salts and Impurities: Typical TDS Rejection rate is around 90% with new membranes. A standard RO system has a typical TDS rejection rate of around 98.5%.
- Install on potable cold water line only.
- According to GE, this unit should not be connected to a Pressure Tank.
- If you wish to use the Merlin to fill an open Atmospheric Storage Tank, you will need a Mechanical Float Valve to turn of the water flow when the water tank gets full. This works well without the Merlin Booster Pump installed.
- System requires at least 50 PSI of water pressure to function and turn off properly. Less than this pressure and the unit may constantly run to drain.
- Stage 1: (1) Carbon Block Prefilter, (5 micron),typically lasts 6 months or 5,000 gallons.
- Stage 2: (2) RO Elements (working in parallel) - typically lasts 2-4 years
- Stage 3: (1) Inline Carbon Postfilter - replace every 6 months
- Consumer Tips: If you have a lot of particulates in your water, It is recommended that you precede this system with an additional (4.5" x 10") 5 micron Nominal Sediment Filter to give the unit extra protection.
- For heavy use (>20 gallons purified water per day) GE recommends adding a 4.5"x10" Matrikx CTO/2 Carbon Block Filter preceding the GE Merlin System. Feedwater intake tubing is 1/2" O.D.
- Approximate Dimensions: Depth: 10", Height: 17", Width: 20.5"
- The optional Booster Pump should only be a GE Merlin Booster Pump. This is only rated for intermittent Residential Use, not continuous duty commercial use.
- Notice: Consult your plumber or refrigerator manufacturer about connecting an RO system to your specific refrigerator model. If and when a booster pump is necessary, only use a Variable Speed Pump, and find out if you should use one that's regulated at 40 PSI or 60 PSI.
- You can also use this RO system to fill any size Atmospheric Storage Tank (zero pressure - open air) 24 hours a day (720 Gals./ day @77°). If you wish to use the Merlin to fill an open Atmospheric Storage Tank, you will need a Mechanical Float Valve to turn of the water flow when the water tank gets full. This works well without the Merlin Booster Pump installed.
- Maximum Flow Rate is 1/2 GPM at 50 PSI (with 77° F. water) under normal conditions.
- Flow Rate is slower for colder water. For 50 degree cold water you will need 70 PSI pressure to get this same 1/2 GPM flow rate, or just accept a slower flow rate.
- Feedwater intake tubing is 1/2" O.D.
- Typical RO water recovery: 23.7% product water (purified water), and 76.3% waste water at 50 PSI and 77° F.
- We recommend professional installation for all RO systems for best results
