About SALT: Load your salt tank with Solar Salt (better price-saves money, less clumping) or Pellet Salt (fill tank about halfway to prevent clumping) Potassium based salt sounds like a great idea but is more expensive, works less efficiently, and even contains a small amount of Potassium-40 isotope. If you wish to use potassium chloride your softener system will need to be bigger.

About IRON: Our Standard softening resin will effectively remove 0-1.5 ppm of dissolved iron. Our Fine Mesh softening resin will effectively remove 2-5 ppm of dissolved iron. Add an additional $10. for every cubic foot of resin if you need the Fine Mesh.
