NanoCeram Filter
 |
Only
$39.45 |
|
NanoCeram®Pleated NanoFilter
Technology Lives Here! A Janerotech Exclusive!
NanoCeram® filters
by Argonide are special electropositively charged pleated nanofilters
used to filter out extremely fine particulates,
turbidity, bacteria, virus, cysts, and colloids from water. When installed and functioning properly, a NanoCeram removes typically 99.99% of bacteria and 99% of virus.
RO membranes are highly sensitive to fouling
by sub-micron particles, and a NanoCeram filter can help protect
your reverse osmosis water system membrane from ultra-fine
sediment loading and biofouling from
virus, bacteria, and cysts.
The efficiency of UV sterilization of
water is greatly improved when
the level of water Turbidity (suspended
microscopic particulates) is reduced. Proper UV performance
is only achieved when the Turbidity Level is <1
NTU, and the UV Transmittance is >75%. NanoCeram
will reduce 1.2 NTUs of Turbidity in water
down to undetectable (near zero) levels for
14,000 gallons!"
The NanoCeram® filter will drastically improve these numbers
and clarify high turbidity water better than
any other 10” filter cartridge.
Performance:
- NanoCeram® filters have a Nominal pore
size of 2 microns which give them a high flow
rate at minimal pressure drop, but are capable of removing 99.999% (5
LRV) of cysts and bacteria 1 - 4.3 microns in
size.
- NanoCeram® filters are capable of filtering
particulate in water down to 0.2 microns (200 nanometers)
Absolute due to the filter's highly electropositive
charge.
- When functioning properly, this electropositive charge is
capable of attracting all negatively charged particles such
as viruses, bacteria, cysts, protozoa and other particles in
water down to 30 nanometers.
- When installed and functioning properly, a NanoCeram removes typically 99.99% of bacteria and 99% of virus.
- NanoCeram® will also filter out inorganic
(silica) particles, natural organic matter (i.e.,humic acid)
not typically removed by carbon, endotoxins, DNA, RNA, 25 nanometer
viruses, etc.
- Each 10” cartridge has a dirt-holding capacity of
261 grams, or just over a half pound.
- You should always use a 5 (or 1) micron Nominal sediment filter to protect a NanoCeram nanofilter from sediment loading and clogging from gross solids and dirt that would eventually foul this filter's electrostatic surface and reduce it's performance and effectiveness. Ask us how.
NanoCeram® Key Uses:
- Best choice for the ultimate
performance in Turbidity Reduction to clarify
water prior to contacting UV sterilization chambers. Highly
recommended.
- Best Choice to help protect a reverse
osmosis membrane from fouling due to ultra-fine
sediment loading.
- Best Choice to help protect a reverse
osmosis membrane from biofouling due to bacteria
and virus loading on the membrane surfaces.
- When installed and functioning properly, a NanoCeram removes typically 99.99% of bacteria and 99% of virus.
- The critical element of the SuperNano© Particle Filter.
- NanoCeram filters produce very little Pressure Drop. (< 2 PSI)
- Always place a 5 or 1 micron sediment filter in front of a NanoCeram to protect it against gross solids and premature sediment loading. Greatly extends the service life!
For much more info, please see our section on NanoCeram.

When it's time to change your filter cartridges...
- Turn off the water supply. Press red pressure relief button if you have one.
- Unscrew housing, remove o-ring, wipe clean, and set on a clean napkin.
- Discard the used filter cartridge.
- Fill each housing 1/3 full with warm soapy water and add 1 Tablespoon of bleach.
- Gently wash the filter housing with a soft cloth and warm soapy water with bleach.
- Rinse thoroughly several times.
- Lubricate the o-ring with clean food-grade silicone grease and reinsert it properly into the groove. Make certain the o-ring is properly seated in the groove or the unit will leak.
- Insert new filter cartridge only with clean washed hands. For the best seal you may very lightly lubricate the 2 gaskets on the cartridge ends with food-grade silicone grease also.
- Please note that the Pentek CBR2-10R cartridge must be inserted a certain way, according to the instructions that come with it.
- Screw housing back onto the cap and hand tighten. Do not over-tighten. Make sure the "cap standpipe" (at the bottom) slips into the cartridge.
- Turn on water supply. Press red pressure relief button if present.
- Check for leaks before leaving the installation unattended! Check again in 5 minutes.
- If leaks occur, check that gasket is properly seated and then hand tighten the housing again as described in #9, but just a little tighter. Damaged o-rings must be replaced.
- All carbon filters require a 5 minute flush with cold water before drinking the water.
- For NanoCeram cartridges, Argonide recommends a 20 minute flush.
